At the University of Chicago, Megan Driscoll studied Public Policy and was ready to tackle the world of finance until fate intervened. The economy fell precipitously during her senior year and those big banks were not handing out jobs to every U of C graduate, as they had seemed to do in the past. A boss from one of her former internships told Driscoll that she might have better luck in PR. Instead of a high-paying job, Megan found an internship at the healthcare division of a major public relations firm. That was almost twenty years ago and Megan has never looked back.
Today, Megan Driscoll is the CEO of EvolveMKD, her New York-based public relations agency. Megan has been honored many times over for her work, earning a spot on PRWeek’s 40 Under 40 List and she was selected as one of twelve women chosen for The Ernst and Young Entrepreneurial Winning Women class of 2018. Megan was the first ever recipient of the Early Career Achievement Award from the University of Chicago.
From the outset, Driscoll’s approach has been to connect life-changing people and products with the world. To date, she has worked with numerous world-class brands including L’Oreal, Merz, IT Cosmetics, HydraFacial, Clarisonic, Astra Zeneca, and Villeroy + Boch. However, she is just as proud of the smaller names she has promoted.
“The work I do gets new and often life-changing, life-improving and sometimes even life-saving products in front of people who would not otherwise know they exist,” Driscoll explains. “I help the entrepreneur with a dream make that dream a reality.”
Before founding EvolveMKD, Megan served as the President of Behrman Communications, managing agency operations, staff, and advising dozens of clients. Megan held senior positions at Emanate, Lippe Taylor, Fleishman Hillard and Euro RSCG Life PR.
